Solid Surface, Lexonite Care

Lexonite Care
Caring & Cleaning of Solid Surface
Lexonite is a non-porous material that can easily be cleaned with soap and water or most allpurpose cleaners. Fantastik with Clorox works great on wine stains and other normally hard to remove type stains. An abrasive cleaner may be used for more stubborn stains, such as: nail polish, tea, etc.

If your top has a matte finish, stains and light scratches can be removed by using the Scotch-Brite pad provided with top. For more stubborn marks use #400 Wet/Dry sandpaper, then followed with the Scotch-Brite pad. Both the sand paper and the Scotch-Brite pad work best when used with water.

The deepest scratches will require sanding with #220 grit sand paper followed by #400 grit, then the Scotch-Brite pad. It is important to use a block of wood or other flat object with the sand paper to keep the surface from becoming grooved which can show up later.

If your top has a gloss finish, sand per the above instructions, then use the polish provided with top to bring your surface back to its original appearance. A car buffer works well to do the polishing. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our main office at (630) 860-2288.
